PARTY

On Saturday, the 14^th of June we had a party at our VFW and what a party it was.  It has been a long time since I have seen so many happy faces.  From our State Commander Al Cantu to CMC Ken McGlothlin, Command Master Chief of Mine Countermeasures Squadron Two, to all the families that attended the event.  

The turn-out was not what I expected but I have learned that Ingleside and the surrounding are does not show any real patriotism.   Although, I really thought they would be out to say thank you the troops.   It’s their loss. Not ours.

The next day I was asked when we were going to do it again.  Don’t have an answer on that one.

My special thanks to Norm and Natalie Copland for all their hard work, without their support the event would not have happened.  Did anyone get a chance to try Greg’s Smoked Pork Butts, they were wonderful.  Thanks Greg.
